Terms of Service

Effective date: June 11, 2026

1. Who we are. Legitize (“Legitize”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by Jak Alwaz, located in Ontario. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Legitize website, applications, and services (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service does. The Service uses automated systems and artificial intelligence to analyze publicly available social media content — such as TikTok videos and Instagram Reels — that make income or money-making claims, and to generate: estimated revenue models and realistic income ranges (“Pitch Checker”); general, AI-generated answers to questions about income claims and money-making (“Money Advisor”); and comparative rankings of income paths (“Income Ranker”).

3. Outputs are opinion and commentary — not fact or advice. You acknowledge and agree that: all analyses, estimates, income ranges, rankings, and “red flags” are automated opinions, commentary, and approximations offered as fair comment on matters of public interest, for informational and entertainment purposes only; outputs are not statements of fact about any individual, creator, business, or product, and are not an allegation that any person has committed fraud, a crime, or wrongdoing; outputs are not financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or other professional advice, and must not be relied on for any decision; the Money Advisor and any chat feature give general, AI-generated information that may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for you, and create no advisor-client, fiduciary, or professional relationship; estimates rely on limited, third-party, and community-sourced data and are frequently incomplete or wrong, and you are solely responsible for independently verifying anything before relying on it and for your own decisions and their outcomes. If you believe an output about you is inaccurate, contact us at hello@legitize.app and we will review it in good faith.

4. Third-party content. You may submit links to third-party content (for example, a TikTok or Reel). You represent that you have the right to submit them. We do not host, own, or control that content, and analyzing a link does not imply any affiliation with, or endorsement by, its creator. Our commentary is provided as criticism, review, and analysis.

5. Eligibility and accounts. You can use a limited version of the Service without an account. Some features require an account. You must be the age of majority where you live (and at least 18) to create an account or subscribe. You are responsible for your account information and for keeping your credentials secure.

6. Subscriptions, billing, and automatic renewal. The free tier includes 5 checks per calendar month, no payment card required; we may change free-tier limits at any time. “Pro” is billed at the price shown at checkout through our payment processor, Stripe (currently $5 CAD per month for Early Access subscribers). Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged that same monthly amount until you cancel; by subscribing, you expressly authorize these recurring charges. You can cancel anytime from your account settings, the Stripe customer portal, or by emailing hello@legitize.app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and stops future renewals. We will give reasonable advance notice of any price change, which will apply only to future billing periods.

7. Acceptable use. You agree not to: use the Service to harass, defame, or unlawfully target any person; present outputs as factual determinations, or scrape, resell, or redistribute them as such; reverse engineer, overload, or interfere with the Service; submit unlawful content or violate any third party's rights; use the AI features to plan, promote, or carry out unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive money-making schemes; or use the Service in violation of applicable law.

8. Intellectual property. We own the Service and its content, excluding third-party content and your inputs. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service. You keep rights to content you submit but grant us a licence to process it in order to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimers. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all outputs are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that outputs are accurate, complete, current, or reliable.

10. Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jak Alwaz and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or reliance on the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim, or (b) $50 CAD. Some of these limits may not apply to you to the extent your local law does not allow them (see Section 11).

11. Your statutory consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law that cannot legally be waived — for example, Ontario's Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (and similar laws elsewhere). Where such a law applies, the disclaimers and liability limits above apply only to the extent that law permits, and your statutory rights remain in addition to these Terms.

12. Indemnification. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jak Alwaz from third-party claims arising out of your use of the Service or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent prohibited by applicable law.

13. Termination. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, including for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive (disclaimers, limitation of liability, intellectual property, indemnification, and governing law) survive termination.

14. Communications and electronic messages. We may send you service messages (such as receipts and security or account notices) as part of operating the Service. We will only send marketing or promotional emails with your consent, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and other applicable laws, and every such message will include an unsubscribe option.

15. Governing law, jurisdiction, and where you use the Service. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, except where mandatory local law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere. You may access the Service from other countries, but you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local laws. Choosing Ontario law does not override mandatory consumer-protection, privacy, or other laws that apply where you live. If you have users in, for example, the United States or the EU, laws such as US state privacy laws (e.g. California's CCPA/CPRA), the FTC's automatic-renewal / “click-to-cancel” rules, the EU/UK GDPR, and children's-privacy laws may still apply regardless of this clause.

16. Severability and entire agreement. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.

17. Changes to the Terms. We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted with an updated effective date and, where required, notified to you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
